AMIGOS DE LAS AMÉRICAS

Volunteer In-Country Release Form

 

This indenture witnesseth that ­_____________________________ (the “PARTICIPANT,” volunteer name) and AMIGOS DE LAS AMÉRICAS (“AMIGOS”) a not-for-profit organization in the state of Texas, its Chapters and affiliated entities, officers, etc., in consideration of mutual promises and covenants herein contained, have agreed and do agree as follows:

 

1. That the PARTICIPANT desires and requests to be released from further participation in the AMIGOS summer field program on _______________, 20___ (the “RELEASE DATE,” date volunteer will leave group) at

__________________________­­_______, ________________________________

(the “RELEASE SITE,” city, country)

           

2.      That AMIGOS releases the PARTICIPANT from the requirement that the PARTICIPANT travel from his/her country assignment via AMIGOS de las Américas travel arrangements.

 

3. That AMIGOS will not be responsible, financially or otherwise, for any travel or other expenses (food, lodging, transportation), requirements, arrangements or needs of the PARTICIPANT, including but not limited to home return travel after the RELEASE DATE.

 

4. That any travel or living expenses incurred by the PARTICIPANT after the RELEASE DATE will be borne by the PARTICIPANT and not by AMIGOS.

 

5. That AMIGOS shall not be responsible for any medical care, expenses, or hospitalization for or to the PARTICIPANT after the RELEASE DATE.

 

6. That the PARTICIPANT waives any claim to a refund or any portion of his/her participation fee in return for being released from AMIGOS field volunteer and/or staff travel requirements.

 

7. That in return for being released and excused from AMIGOS field volunteer and/or staff travel requirements, the PARTICIPANT for himself/herself, his/her heirs, executors, administrators and assignors, agrees to and does hereby INDEMNIFY and HOLD HARMLESS AMIGOS from any and all claims, demands, actions or causes of action of whatsoever nature or character which may hereafter be asserted by any person, firm or business entity, whomsoever, claiming by, through or under the PARTICIPANT after the RELEASE DATE.

 

8. That the PARTICIPANT, if under 18 years of age, will be met by
