How to Learn More About Amigos

Each year in August and early September, the Chapter veterans speak in front of countless high school Spanish classes and educate the students about this opportunity. 

Potential new volunteers and their parents are required to attend one of the two Parent Information Meetings held in October.  These meetings give a broad overview of the program and provide an opportunity for students and parents to ask questions of veteran volunteers, their parents, and Board members.

If a student is interested in applying, they must submit the preliminary application provided at the meetings to be considered for an interview.  Successful applicants are notified after all interviews are completed.

The Santa Clara Valley Chapter is no longer recruiting volunteers for Summer 2009.  If you'd like to be considered next year for Summer 2010, please contact our Chapter Recruiter.
